We are a new 90s alternative rock and grunge cover band based out of Chesapeake, VA! We are a new band with old musicians who have been playing in local bands and around the world in military bands for decades.

BRIDGETTE BRENMARK - VOCALS AND KEYS:

Bridgette is our vocalist and keyboard player. She is newly settled in the area.  She will soon be a retiree of the U.S. Army Band after serving as a pianist, vocalist, saxophonist, conductor and Band Commander.  Most recently, she has taught the Officer courses at the U.S. Army School of Music, helping current and future leaders connect with audiences through music.  In addition to playing across the US, she fronted two Army rock band good will tours to Japan and performed during two tours in the Middle East with the 82nd Airborne Division Army Band. Yes, she has airborne wings. No, she did not jump with her keytar. She is excited about becoming a local, getting out to perform in the Tidewater area and rocking out with all of you!

CORY PETTIFORD - GUITAR AND VOCALS:

Cory started playing guitar at age 9 and has over 50 years of playing experience! Cory served as a guitar player for the U.S. Army Bands, playing music around the world and culminating in serving on staff at the US Army School of Music. Over the years, Cory has won multiple Guitarmageddon competitions put on by Guitar Center and was flown to Atlanta and Orlando to participate in higher levels of competition. Cory is well versed in rock, jazz, pop, and funk guitar styles. He has played in local bands for years and teaches guitar at the School of Rock!

GARY MASON - BASS:

Gary's musical roots trace back to his childhood in Memphis, Tennessee—the globally renowned “home of the blues.” From Uncle Gilbert teaching him guitar, to a co-worker teaching him bass, to performing in church and playing with his son Benjamin, music has always been woven into family life and connection. Over the years, Gary expanded his musical reach by playing in multiple cover bands across various genres. Today, as the bassist for Latch Key, he’s once again thriving on stage alongside a talented group of musicians, enjoying the thrill of live performance and shared creativity.

MIKE BRENMARK - DRUMS:

Mike has been performing on drums and percussion for 39 years. Mike enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1995 and served in U.S. Army Bands as a Percussionist for 20 years. In 2005, he was selected to perform with U.S. Army Entertainment’s Showband, “USA Express,” where he toured and performed for U.S. Troops stateside and overseas in the Middle East. Mike also led several U.S. Army Band Rock Bands throughout his U.S. Army Bands career. After retiring, Mike earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree and has been a Music Educator for the past 6 years. Mike is now a Middle School Director of Bands for Chesapeake Public Schools. He has also been performing on percussion with the Virginia Wind Symphony for the last year.
